Thomson crew 4

Only two in above photo have been identified, S/Ldr W.N. Thomson kneeling in front, and 2nd from the right F/Sgt Ernest J.C. Plouffe.

The Thomson crew was flying on their 8th mission in Halifax LK-663 "WL-F", on 22 Oct 1943 they failed to return from Kassel. S/Ldr W.N. Thomson, F/Sgt R.W. Miller, F/Sgt. E.J.C. Plouffe and F/Sgt. C.C. Reynolds were killed.

F/Sgt. R.F. Purdy, P/O R.F. Bellingham, and Sgt. J.S. Malcolm became POW's.
