P/O H.W. O'Gorman of crew 28 (37 missions)
At each crew member’s position in the aircraft is an oxygen connection into which he plugs his oxygen mask and taps the supply. Also provided are small portable units containing about 10 minutes supply and permitting the airmen to move about the aircraft and carry out various duties without having to do without the vital supply.
Here is Halifax navigator, F/Sgt. H.W. O’Gorman , 21 Baker St. , Sudbury , Ont., moving about his aircraft with the portable “baby” bottle attached to his parachute harness. The small bottle can be seen hanging in front on his left hand side.
