On the night of 22 Nov. 1943 Pilot Tedford and crew flew to Berlin Germany, unfortunately they could not defy the odds and all were killed on thier first mission.
Note: Due to illness on the night of 18/19 Nov. 1943, F/E Sgt. N.G. Speight did not fly with his crew (Pilot K.C. Smith - crew 41), Sgt. Harry Turner filled the vacancy, they FTR and Harry became a POW.
Days later on the 22 Nov. Sgt. N.G. Speight replaced Sgt. Harry Turner for the Tedford crew.
