Sgt. Sydney Smith was the Flight Engineer for crew 54, flying to Frankfurt Germany on 20/21 Dec. 1943 in a Halifax V (LK-686 / WL-L) piloted by P/O W.R. Ferrier. They failed to return, all were killed.
