Clary crew Memorial
Sgt. Bertram Scudder (F/E); P/O Clarence T. Hovey (R/AG); Sgt Richard W. Stuart (MU/AG USAAF); P/O Ivan A.L. Lockhart (WO/AG); F/O William "George" Bellinger (B/A); Johnny Dodge (replaced by P/O George Hastings (Nav.); 2/Lt. Jackson T. Clary (Pilot USAAF)
2nd/Lt Clary and crew FTR on Sept 29th 1943 during a mission to Bochum. Sgt. Scudder and F/O Belllinger were killed, the pilot evaded capture and the remaining four crew were captured as POWs till war end. The Luftwaffe pilot; Hptm E. Prinz (Prince) zur Lippe-Weissenfeld from III/NJG 1 claimed the victory at 21:44 near Enschede. Unfortunately the Luftwaffe prince also claimed victory over the Popplewell crew 24 on this same night.
Memorial Dedication; On the 29th Sept 2013 in Boekelo, The Netherlands a memorial was unveiled and dedicated to the crew members. Here is the BBC interview Sept 13th with people involved. Organizers, researchers, along with relatives, and representatives of the RAF, RCAF, RDAF, and USAAF were in attendance.
Sander Lagewaard made beautiful aerial shots of the ceremony with a drone, the bomberteam of Boekelo expected about 150 people but there were about 300.
The forest on the left is the crash site of the Halifax, back to stand seven vehicles keep them roling, before four flagpoles with every mast two schoolchildren to hoist the flag, before the flag bearers of the color party, left the band or liberation, and near the monument the Royals Air Force provided the guard of honor.
Sit in the front rows of all guests and family of the crew. these attendees came from England, America and Canada.
Rob Lanting is one of the four men who researched the whole story, he's the first to speak.

Total, there are 21 flower arrangements, the wreath laying took almost 15 minutes.
Throughout the ceremony the band or liberation played some beautiful music, so during the laying of flowers and wreaths.
Bas and Lisa, the children of Ronnie explain here the arrangement on behalf of the Bomber team Boekelo.
Relatives of the crew are moved after the unveiling of the monument.

Rob Lanting has been investigate this crash since 2007 with his grandpa, from January this year we continued as "Bomberteam Boekelo" with Rob Lanting, Ronnie Heijink, Harold Pot and Erik Schaddelee.
Three of us have a normal job and have also spent hundreds of hours in research after work, Erik is journalist and besides his job he spend more then 1000 hours,
Without him and his connections the ceremony never been so big and beautiful as it was on the 29th september 2013. There are also many companies and people that offer free participated in the ceremony,
