One of the most remarkable photographs to be taken on any of the stations of the RCAF Bomber Group in Britian, was by one of the station photographers where the Iroquois and Bluenose squadrons operated. He is LAC Poste of Woodstock, Ont. When told that one of the Canadian buildt Lancaster bombers, loaded with incendiaries and a 4,000-pound bomb had caught fire, Poste grabbed his camera and went out for a shot of the blow-up. The aircraft had gone out of control on the runway, and Poste got the picture just as the blast blew him flat.
