Fireworks is the description an Intelligence Officer of the Bluenose Squadron recieves, pictured above as he interrogated members of the RCAF Bomber Group following their return from heavily attacking Mannheim.
Sgt. Walter Rood, 1654 Goyeau St., Windsor, Ont. Air Gunner; F/L Brown; F/O Frank Carter, Courtney, B.C. and Iroquois, Ont. Pilot; and P/O Spurgeon Jenkins, Mount Herbert, P.E.I. Navigator. The latter said; “It was like old home week. I’ll never spend money on fireworks again after seeing Mannheim". The squadron is led by W/C C.E. Harris of Annapolis Royal, N.S.
Crew 30 Piloted by S/Ldr. F/O Frank Carter “FTR” from an “Op” to Berlin 15/16 Feb. 1944 all were killed.
