After inspecting the “Tamara Tamonovitch” insignia on their Canadian built Lancaster, these ground crew NCO’s are moved to imitate their favorite Hollywood terpsichorean; at left is Sgt. Bill McGeachie and right, Sgt. Julius “Duke” Derby. Both are mechanics of the Bluenose Squadron of Canadian Bomber Group in Britain. The tiny bombs painted on this four-engined aircraft’s sleek nose represent the number of trips over enemy territory it has made.
