These young rips of the Bluenose Squadron are making free with the tubby gadgets in a very “off” moment. Eying the public with a sad brave smile is the pilot, F/L John “Sharpy” Keane, Orono, Ont., while the air bomber (the weighed down character in the front), F/O Bill Roberts, Salford, Ont., croons “ I wanna go back to that flak happy pappy of mine”, and the rear gunner P/O A.G. Rice of 94th 8th St., New Toronto, Ont. Listens and cocks his six gun purposefully. Apart from abusing link trainers, the lads have been handling Nazis in the neighborhood of invasion targets and flying bomb platforms pretty badly. They’re almost through their first tour with RCAF Bomber Group Overseas.
