Sgt. Albert Dupont, Plantaganet, Ont. and Sgt. “Mike” Spears, Peterborough, Ont., both air gunners of Canada’s Bluenose squadron relax over steaming mugs of coffee while awaiting a session with the Intelligence officers. Members of a crew skippered by Sgt. Harry Ells, Fort William, Ont. They had shortly before left Mannheim a mass of fires and explosions. It was Sgt. Dupont’s first and Sgt. Spears fifth.
Crew 10 - Sgt. J.E. Spears “FTR” from an “Op” to Mannheim on 18/19 Nov. 1943, six of the crew became POW, and Sgt. Hinks was killed.
